BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC33) — After a sunny Sunday, our next cold front arrives Monday into Tuesday, and will turn skies gray.
On Monday, temperatures will stay mild, with near-normal highs in the lower to mid-60s. Although, chances of rain will begin to increase through the day and stick with us into midweek.
By Tuesday, the colder air arrives and will drop temperatures into the lower-50s, with showers likely. As the wet-weather system lingers over south Louisiana, cold rain will continue into Wednesday, too.
Three day rain totals are forecast to measure between 0.25-1.0 inches over the Deep South. Although, some weather models suggest higher amounts near 1.5-2.0 inches. At this time, flooding will not be a concern, but it will certainly be something to watch as forecasts update this coming week.
Also worth mentioning, with temperatures above freezing through the next 7-days, any precipitation that does fall will be in the form of rain. Chances of a wintry mix will stay slim-to-none. (Sorry, sneaux lovers.)
