As Nelson Mandela is laid to rest Tuesday, skies over a majority of South Africa will stay grey.

The forecast calls for a mostly cloudy skies, with chances of rain around 50 percent, and highs in the upper-50s in the city of Johannesburg, where thousands are expected to gather to honor the legacy of Nelson Mandela.

In the small town of Qunu, where he will be laid to rest, temperatures will stay slightly warmer, than Johannesburg, in the upper-60s. Chances of rain will be around 60 percent tomorrow, with a few thunderstorms possible during the afternoon.

Here in Baton Rouge, afternoon highs will stay cool in the upper-40s/lower-50s. However, our chances of rain diminish through the morning, as the sun finally makes an appearance by afternoon.

(Also, South Africa is 8 hours ahead of us in south Louisiana, so they'll be hitting their highs around 3-5 a.m. Central Time.)
