Monday will bring south Louisiana more sunshine and 70s, but temperatures will drop drastically by Tuesday.

Skies stay bright through Monday, with highs around 3:00 p.m. in the lower-70s. It'll be a GREAT day to get outside and enjoy!

Moving into our evening, skies stay mainly clear in south Louisiana. Although, we'll begin to see clouds build in the northern part of the state. Temperatures will steadily fall through the 60s Monday evening.

Heading into our bedtime hours, temperatures will likely drop into the upper-50s, as isolated showers begin to develop in central Louisiana. Chances of rain around the Capitol area will begin to increase from northwest to southeast through Tuesday morning. However, rain coverage will only be around 20 percent, so not everyone will catch the passing drips. The entire area will feel the cooler changes by Tuesday afternoon, though.

Highs on Tuesday will struggle to climb into the mid-50s, with wind chills making the air feel-like the 40s most of the day. Winds will stay gusty out of the north around 10-15+mph on Tuesday.

Expect freezing temperatures to returnTuesday night, as the cold weather sticks with us the rest of the week.
