Water covers Livingston Parish; curfew remains in place
LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (NBC33) — Livingston Parish is suffering from serious flooding issues and the water is still pushing in to the area.
Officials held a press conference this afternoon updating on current conditions. They say there are roughly 68 roads in the area that are impassable.
Schools will remain closed through the weekend. Classes are set to resume on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
A parish-wide curfew is also in effect tonight from dusk until dawn. The purpose is to give emergency responders the ability to quickly navigate to impacted areas.
NBC33’s Alex Deiro will have a full recap of that press conference tonight on NBC33 News.
