GRAND ISLE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE:  The Grand Isle Police Department tells NBC33 news the evacutation order will remain in place until Tropical Storm Debby is over land.

ORIGINAL STORY:  Grand Isle Mayor David Camardelle has declared a State of Emergency for the town as of noon Sunday.

Camardelle has issued a voluntary evacuation for the town of Grand Isle, and mandatory evaucations for camper trailers and recreational vehicles.
