Damaging wind, hail and a few tornadoes are possible ahead of the system. In addition, rain totals of one to three inches are possible in south Louisiana through Friday.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the forecast calls for sunshine on Saturday, but more rain on Sunday. Right now, weather models are pointing toward more severe storm Sunday night into Monday morning. However, the timing will need to be monitored as forecasts update.
