Mile-wide tornado rips across Bossier Parish; no injuries or major damage reported

BOSSIER PARISH, LA (NBC33) — The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado passed through Red River Parish overnight
The EF1 tornado touched down at roughly 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 27. It was located about a mile south of the Bossier/Red River Parish line on Hwy 515.
The tornado continued for about 10 miles and was nearly a mile wide at its largest point. The maximum wind speeds were reported between 100-110 mph.
Thankfully, no one was injured and the damage was mostly sustained by trees.
