Rising flood waters in Crowley have prompted the closure of a major road and voluntary evacuation of at least one subdivision.

The Crowley Police Department reports that the voluntary evacuation is being conducted in the Shady Oaks subdivision. We’re told flood water has completely overtaken the roads and is beginning to flow into homes.

Residents in West and East Crowley are also reporting flooding that is nearing entry of homes.

We’re told DOTD is currently in the process of shutting down all of Highway 90 in the city due to excessive water on the roadway.
