CAUGHT ON CAMERA: NWS confirms two tornadoes in Jefferson Parish

After two tornadoes made their way through the New Orleans metro area April 24, WDSU received a video that captured both tornadoes.

The tornadoes touched down in Jefferson Parish.

The first tornado was an EF-1 and touched down in Kenner. The tornado had a maximum of 90-mph winds and was on the ground for half of a mile and was 50 yards wide.

The second tornado was rated as an EF-0 with winds of 75 mph. It was on the ground for 2 miles and was 75 yards wide.
