Latest reconnaissance aircraft finds that Tropical Storm Nate has gotten stronger. The storm has sustained winds near 70 mph with a forward direction of SSE @ 2 mph. Nate is expected to make a northward turn by the weekend. With little in the way of steering winds, Nate is expected to wander for the next 24 hours. There still remains a ton of uncertainty on the path of the storm. The majority of track models take the system to Northern Mexico, but a few outliers take the storm to Louisiana by the middle of next week. The most reliable models keep the track toward Mexico. Nate is also expected to intensify into a Category 1 hurricane by tomorrow. We will continue to track Tropical Storm Nate in the StormTracker33 Weather Center and continue to notify you of any major changes to direction and strength of the storm
