At 6:30 pm this evening, Tropical Storm Emily has formed just east of the Lesser Antilles. Emily is moving toward the west near 17 mph. The storm is expected to turn toward the west-northwest and decrease in forward speed over the next couple of days. The forecast track is taking the center of Emily across the northeastern Caribbean Sea tonight and approaching the islands of hispaniola Tuesday evening. Max sustained winds are near 40 mph with higher gusts. Gradual strengthing is expected over the next 48 hours. Tropical Storm force wind extend out 70 miles from the center of the storm.  Forecasts head the storm to Florida's Coast as a possible hurricane.
