STORMTRACKER33 — Tropical Storm Don continues to spin its way toward the Texas coastline. Don currently has winds of 50 mph, but could strengthen a bit more before making landfall. Don will be moving into an area, where upper-level winds are marginally conducive and the water temperatures are almost 90 degrees. Most likely landfall will be between Brownsville and Corpus Christi, TX late Friday night or overnight into Saturday.
Elsewhere in the tropics, a new suspect area called Invest 91 has been activated in the Eastern Atlantic. This will be an area to watch closely over the next 4-6 days to see if additional development takes place. The National Hurricane Center says there is a 30 percent chance this system becomes a tropical cyclone within the next two days.
