STORMTRACKER33 — The NHC is still tracking the area of disturbed weather just to the South of Cuba. Showers and thunderstorms have increased in and around the apparent center of this system. There is a 50% chance of this system becoming our first tropical depression of the season within the next 48 hours. As of now the models don't have a good grasp on where this system may head. Once we have an exact center the models can give us a better idea on where this system could end up. As you can see in the image below, the models are all over the map now. If this system does creep into the Gulf, the upper levels winds are not too favorable at this point, so the intensity forecasts keep this system as a depression or a very weak tropical storm. We will continue to track it and keep you updated every step of the way.
