The National Hurricane Center named Tropical Depression Seven in the northern Caribbean Sea on Wednesday. Impacts are forecast to stay minimal in the continental United States, especially in the Gulf of Mexico.
Tropical Storm Fernand formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico Sunday evening. The National Hurricane Center forecasts Fernand will head westward into Mexico over the next, few days and pose no threat to south Louisiana.
