Spring-feel turns bumpy next week

After a wintry week, including the freeze warnings and frozen precipitation, temperatures warmed by leaps-and-bounds the last few days. From highs in the 30s earlier this week, we managed to work our way back into the 70s today.

One more COLD night

Another hard freeze is forecast in south Louisiana Thursday morning. Hard Freeze Warnings stretch from east Texas into areas of Mississippi and Alabama. 

Second snow system set to swipe south Louisiana

A potent storm system will bring a second round of winter weather to south Louisiana on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for all of south Louisiana from 6:00 a.m. Tuesday through 6:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Winter storm set to impact the area

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for our area from tomorrow morning until Wednesday morning. A strong cold front will move through Southeast Louisiana today.

More snow forecast in south Louisiana

On Friday, Baton Rouge measured 0.3 inches of snow. It was the first snow Baton Rouge had seen since February 12, 2010.

First chance of snow in four years sinks into south Lousiana

As an Arctic cold front drops into the Deep South, it brings south Louisiana the chance of a wintry mix. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from now through 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Monday will bring south Louisiana more sunshine and 70s, but temperatures will drop drastically by Tuesday.
