'Cold' front passing today/tomorrow

Monday, July 28, 2014 - 5:59am

It'll be another summer sizzler, with scattered storms today. An unusual, cold front will drop into the Deep South this afternoon and evening, helping to focus thunderstorm chances from north to south. Some storms could produce heavy rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds in south Louisiana. A brief break from the high humidity and rain arrives tomorrow and Wednesday. Although, temperatures stay in the lower-90s, with morning lows in the upper-60s/lower-70s all week. Another rain-maker pushes into the area by the end of the week, which will bring scattered storms Thursday through Sunday. -Meteorologist Kyle Myers
