Rachael Penton StormTracker33 Meteorologist/Reporter
Rachael Penton joined the StormTracker33 Weather Team in May of 2014. She came to NBC33 from Alexandria, LA, where she served as a meteorologist, news anchor and reporter.
Rachael received her Bachelor of Science Degree in meteorology from the University of South Alabama, and she recently completed coursework for her Master's Degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State University. During her Master's work, Rachael had the opportunity to storm chase on the Great Plains and she was there to witness the historic EF-5 El Reno, Oklahoma tornado. While in college, Rachael interned at TV Stations in Biloxi, MS, and in Mobile, AL.
In addition to tracking storms, Rachael serves as a multi media journalist for NBC33. She writes, shoots, and edits her stories.
