Jeanne Burns Weekday Anchor
Jeanne Burns is a graduate of LSU’s Manship School of Journalism and began her career in broadcasting in 1991 at KNOE-TV in Monroe. It wasn’t long before she moved back to her hometown of Baton Rouge to work in news.
Jeanne has been a familiar face in the Baton Rouge television market for the past twenty years, and even did a stint at WVLA along the way, serving as the station’s Community Affairs Coordinator and spokesperson for three years here.
Jeanne has returned to join the NBC33 News team as the weekday anchor for our 5:00, 6:30 and 10:00 p.m. broadcast.
Jeanne is married to Lloyd Dempster and together they have three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, scrapbooking, reading, writing, and working out at the family’s gym in Zachary.
