Emily Turner is a reporter for NBC 33 News.

Before moving over to news in October 2008, Turner was Baton Rouge’s first female sports reporter at a major local affiliate. While in the sports department, Emily covered many major events, including the LSU's 2007 football national championship. She also co-hosted the "NBC 33 Olympic Zone" during the 2008 Summer Games.

Turner joined NBC 33 News after four outstanding seasons as a pitcher for LSU, during which time she amassed an 84-37 career record, 778 strikeouts and an 1.48 earned run average. She was named to the All-SEC team twice (2005, 2006) and was named a third team All-American in 2006.

She was the 4th round selection of the Philadelphia Force in the National Pro Fastpitch league in 2007.

Turner graduated from LSU in May 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies.
