NBC33's Tyler Gamble and Jennifer Crockett spent two days aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter DECISIVE patrolling the crisis on the coast.

It's a rare opportunity to get that close to the site and meet those who are on the frontlines.

We begin out team coverage from the Gulf tonight, with a tour of the ship, thanks to ENS Andrea Psimer.

A special thanks goes out to all of the men and women aboard the DECISIVE for hosting our NBC 33 news team. They are working very hard and we appreciate all involved for taking the time to let us tell their stories.

As a family member of the crew of the Decisive, I appreciate your coverage. It is interesting to see what is happening in real time while they are on patrol These men and women serve their country proudly and I am so proud of all of them.

This was a very informative story about what the Coast Guard is doing in regard to the oil spill. I think that sometimes we forget about the brave men and women who patrol our coasts and it is good to see them getting the publicity they deserve. I look forward to seeing the next installment. Ms. Crockett does a great job. I have seen other stories she has taken the lead on and find her to be very professional.

Thanks for covering the work being carried out on "Decisive".

I enjoy these vids by this reporter tremendously! Very professional yet friendly which is a great combination in the field of reporting. Please keep these coming! Thank you, Rebecca Board
