BATON ROUGE (WVLA)--With school back in session, more students will be turning to the Internet for homework and other activities.
But State Police says, while the Internet is a helpful tool, it's also where many kids are most vulnerable.
The danger comes with "who" kids are talking to and "what" they're talking about.
State Police says, it's seeing an increase in the amount of children caught up with child pornographers.
This year alone, troopers have rescued 15 children from dangerous situations involving child pornography.
"If you're not involved in your kids life, somebody else is, and you don't get to pick what they're telling them," said Colonel Mike Edmonson.
State Troopers are available for Internet safety presentations in classrooms and churches.
