GONZALES, La (NBC33) – For these two Tiger fans, the seven hour drive to Dallas is just one more trip in the name of purple and gold pride.

Norman Hebert and Drew Smith are die-hard fans. They’ve been following the Tigers all over the country for more than 30 years.

“I just can’t seem to shake it,” Norman Hebert, Tiger fanatic, said with excitement. “It’s an addiction. I love it!”

The two met at work. Once they realized they shared the same passion, they began hitting the road together, game after game, year after year.

“Home, away, bowls, I saw every play of the 80s,” Drew Smith, fan who has been to roughly 154 consecutive games, described.

Although they’ve crossed the nation together, neither has been to the Cotton Bowl, making this game a landmark first.

“Never been to Dallas, so that’s just another city I can cross off my list,” Smith explained.

No matter what the outcome of the game, these fans never leave home with out their team spirit and Tiger pride.
