Tigers top Mountaineers, 47-21
MORGANTOWN, WV — Jarrett Lee passed for 180 yards and three touchdowns to help LSU defeat West Virginia, 47-21. Michael Ford rushed for two touchdowns as LSU won their third game away from home against a ranked opponent. The Tigers took an early 13-0 lead and never looked back despite allowing West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith throw for a school-record 463 yards. The Mountaineers would cut the LSU lead to 27-21 with a touchdown late in the third quarter but Morris Claiborne returned the ensuing kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown. Spencer Ware ran for 92 yards on 23 carries. Michael Ford had 82 yards and two touchdowns.
LSU will take on Kentucky this Saturday in Tiger Stadium at 11:20 a.m.
