Southern University Athletic Director Greg Lafleur was arrested last night in Houston for prostitution. Houston Police records show LaFleur was arrested around 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Main Street in the city.

They said LaFleur was booked on a charge of soliciting a prostitute and given a $500 bond.

Edward Pratt, Assistant to the Chancellor for Media Relations said in a statement, "This is a matter we will investigate. When our investigation is completed, the University will determine what action or actions are necessary. Until our inquiry is finished, we will have no further comment."

The 52-year-old former LSU and NFL football player was in Houston for the final four.
