BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The Southern men’s basketball team will try to increase their SWAC record to 8-0 Monday night on the road at Alabama A&M.

The Jags and second year head coach Roman Banks are one of the remarkable turnaround stories in college basketball after finishing dead last in the conference in 2011. The game Monday will be televised nationally on ESPNU. The Southern athletic department is hosting a “watch party” at the L’auberge resort in Baton Rouge for the Jaguar Nation to support their team.

The event starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Stadium Bar and Grill. The game tips off at 8:30 p.m.
