Former Southern Jaguar Brian Johnson will compete in Rome, Athens and Paris over the next three weeks before heading to the Olympics.
Johnson qualified by finishing second in the long jump at last month's trials. So, he's set. But his family is asking for help so they can join him.
Johnson will be wearing USA across his chest in Beijing and he's hoping to have a big cheering section at National Stadium, so his wife, Pamela, is reaching out to raise money so family members can make the long trip for the biggest meet of Brian's life.
Usually, his mom and dad have to settle for watching on TV, but they really want to be there this time. There's a big problem, though. The trip will cost nearly $5000 per person.
If you’d like to help, donations can be made at any Chase Bank. Specify that it’s for the Brian Johnson Olympic fund.
