BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The Saints are gearing up for their big match-up against the Miami Dolphins Monday night. In the meantime, restaurants and fans throughout Baton Rouge are getting amped up for the game.
Even though both teams are 3-0, Saints fans said they are getting prepared for a win. Sport bars like Buffalo Wild Wings are making sure they have enough staff to handle the crowds.
Nathan Carter manages the Buffalo Wild Wings on Bluebonnet, and he said kick-off equals game time for them as well.
"We expect people to be here about an hour before the game starts. If you're here by the time the game starts, it's probably too late."
When there's a big game, everyone must get prepared, including sports bars like Buffalo Wild Wings.
"So the first thing is we have to make sure we have enough people here. We always have enough food, but the biggest thing is to make sure that we have enough people to take care of everybody that comes through the door," Carter said. "If you're here by the time the game starts. it's probably too late. The game starts whenever kick-off is, we're probably on a wait."
Even though both teams are undefeated, Saints fans like Asher Webber and D'Marcus Glasper said, they are optimistic that the black and gold will win.
"I do think that the Saints have what it takes to win tonight," Webber said.
"Our secondary's really going to be tested tonight, but I still think they will be able to come on top with all the pressures and stuff that we'll be able to bring with Rob Ryan," Glasper said. "I think it's going to be a great game, and we're going to pull off a win tonight."
"The Dolphins may be undefeated, but It's an easy win for us I think," Carter said.
Kick off's at 7:30 P.M. on ESPN. This will be the Saints' last home game until October 27th.
