Vikings all-pro running back Adrian Peterson claims the Saints were trying to injure him during Sunday's game.

Peterson, who returned after missing three games with an injured ankle, ran for 60 yards in the Vikings’ loss.

He told the New Orleans Times-Picayune some Saints players were purposely trying to hurt his sprained left ankle.

He specifically pointed to one play, accusing Jabari Greer of twisting his ankle in a pile up. Peterson did confront Greer after the play.

Peterson says he did not reinjure the ankle and will play in the team's next game.
