Super Bowl Media Day highlights both teams' not-so-serious side

It's a right of passage for the players and coaches.

"People are grabbing me, shoving lights in my face,” said Patriots defensive end Alex Silvestro. “I love it."

"This is what you work all year for," stated Patriots head coach Bill Bilichick.

Media Day at the Super Bowl is a very different game: sombreros and furry hats replace helmets, for one day reporters, not the players, are the superheroes on the field, the ball is covered with mirrors and glitter, and the big guys get to do the dancing..

For the players, it's a chance to unwind before putting it all on the line.

Well, maybe not quite everything. Giants wide receiver Isiah Stanback stated, "Last time I cut my hair was about 13 years ago. Everybody here is asking for bold predictions - Giants win, you cut your hair - No! Nah, it's not worth all that."

On the other side of the lens, everyone seems to be looking for an edge. Some crews use phones or tablets, while others are willing to mount a camera just about anywhere.

For the teams the fun and games are over, with just a few days are left to prepare for the game. However, for the fans and this city, the party is just starting.
