Possible changes coming to the BCS system soon
NBC NATIONAL NEWS — While the Crimson Tide continues to celebrate, changes are a coming in the Bowl Championship System.
BCS officials are meeting in New Orleans for the first of at least four meetings in the next 6 months to discuss potential changes to the college football system.
According to a high ranking BCS source, there are at least 60 options for changes on the table, ranging from a four team playoff to playing one final game after all of the bowl games.
Officials are looking for a solution that protects the importance of regular season performance, while looking at new possibilities for the poll-driven sport.
Future meetings are scheduled for February in Dallas, April in Miami, and likely another meeting in June.
The BCS system will stay as is until 2014.
