BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The LSU Board of Supervisors voted today, Friday, April 27, to approve plans to begin an expansion of Tiger Stadium.

The board approved a plan to add 60 new suites to the south end zone along with 3,000 new club level seats and an additional 15-hundred general public seats.

The capacity of Tiger Stadium could be near or above 100-thousand seats.

The new-look Tiger Stadium is expected to be ready in the summer of 2014.
