LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger took the field for the first time as the LSU starter. The Georgia native passed for 192 yards and a touchdown as the Tigers took down North Texas, 41-14.
Rain from Hurricane Isaac and its aftermath have caused the closure of several parking lots for LSU’s season opener against North Texas on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CDT.
