The LSU baseball team left for Florida Thursday. Before getting on the bus, head coach Paul Mainieri talked to the media about the Tigers' hitting problems, (10 runs combined in last 4 games) specifically Alex Bregman’s slump (4 of 29 in the last 9 games).

Thursday morning, Mainieri announced that Bregman wouldn’t do media interviews for a week or two. He hopes it will help Bregman focus on the game and work his way out of the slump at the plate.

The Tigers are 20-5-1 overall and 3-2-1 in SEC play. The three game series with Florida starts on Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
