NBC33 caught up with LSU head coach Les Miles, Monday, after the SEC school presidents voted to keep the current 6-1-1 scheduling format. The Tigers will continue to play Florida, an SEC East team, every year in football. LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva, Les Miles and just about every LSU fan feel it's unfair. They'd rather a format where opponents from different divisions rotate on a yearly basis. Here's a look at the permanent opponents for each team in the SEC:

• Alabama (West) vs. Tennessee (East)
• Arkansas (West) vs. Missouri (East)
• Auburn (West) vs. Georgia (East)
• LSU (West) vs. Florida (East)
• Ole Miss (West) vs. Vanderbilt (East)
• Mississippi State (West) vs. Kentucky (East)
• Texas A&M (West) vs. South Carolina (East)

The Mad Hatter has a point that any knowledgeable SEC fan understands if they disrobe themselves of their team prejudices. The prime example, of course, is Alabama vs. Tenn. in respect to LSU vs. Florida. What knowledgeable fan could honestly say that is fair to LSU, Fla., Tenn. or Alabama? The answer is, of course, no-one and it is a travesty for Slive to pretend that it is otherwise.
