NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The Tigers are now just two wins away from reaching the College World Series. They'll take on either Central Florida or Stoney Brook next weekend at Alex Box Stadium in a best-of-three series with a ticket to Omaha on the line.

A combined crowd of over 29,000 fans were on hand watch LSU sweep through the regional.

Head coach Paul Mainieri says they play a big part in making LSU successful.

"I don't know if I can put into words what these fans mean to this program,” stated Mainieri. “It’s what separates LSU baseball from every other program in the country - it's the level of fan following support. It’s just amazing.

LSU will host the Super Regional this weekend that will either start on Friday or Saturday; the NCAA will announce the lineup on Tuesday.
