Raph Rhymes named SEC Player of the Year

LSU outfielder Raph Rhymes was selected 2012 SEC Baseball Player of the Year, the league announced Tuesday. Rhymes leads the nation in hitting with a .459 batting average. The Tigers ace pitcher Kevin Gausman was named to the first team SEC along with Rhymes. Several other Tigers also received honors Tuesday; Aaron Nola (All Freshman Team), Ryan Eades (All Defensive Team), Mason Katz (All SEC Second Team).
