BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The LSU women's basketball team missed out on the NCAA tournament last year for the first time since the 1997-1998 season. This year they ensured that wouldn’t happen again.

Nikki Caldwell's Tigers compiled a record of 22-10, including a trip to the SEC Championship game in the SEC tournament.

LSU won the NCAA bid and will take on San Diego State on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. If LSU wins they will then play again on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.
