United States — The LSU Lady Tiger softball team got their first taste of the Women's College World Series today.

Being a big underdog to California heading into the game didn't faze the Tigers early on. LSU jumped out to a 2-0 lead early on against the top-ranked Bears.

However, Cal would prove too much for the tigers as they would score five unanswered runs.

LSU loses the game by a final of 5-3. The Lady Tigers will face elimination on Saturday when they take on South Florida.
