LSU issues reminders to Tiger fans for Towson game
BATON ROUGE, LA — LSU has issued a series of important notes and changes for Tiger fans planning to attend the LSU vs. Towson football game on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
PORTAL B CHANGES DUE TO CONSTRUCTION
Due to the beginning of construction for the planned expansion of the south end of Tiger Stadium, entry into the stadium at Portal B on the southwest corner of the stadium will be adjusted for the Towson game. The entry area at Portal B will be smaller, so it may take more time to enter. Fans that normally enter Portal B should be aware they may also enter through new gates 1-6 on the west side of the stadium. Gates 1-3 are closest to Portal B.
More significant changes to entry at Portal B and at Gate 20 on the east side of the stadium will be announced prior to the South Carolina game on October 13. Please watch for announcements via email, at LSUsports.net and through LSU social media platforms for maps and more information.
PARKING ALERTS – AG CENTER LOT CLOSED FOR 4-H
The LSU-Towson game is the annual 4-H game in which more than 2,000 4-H members will attend the game in conjunction with activities at the Ag Center. For this reason, the Ag Center lot at the corner of Highland Road and South Stadium Drive will not be available for general public parking on Saturday.
Fans traveling north on Nicholson Drive and River Road after the game should be aware that the popular 13th Gate Haunted House is now in operation. Large crowds could result in traffic congestion in the downtown area in the hours following the Towson, South Carolina and Alabama games.
WEST SIDE ENTRY REMINDER
Fans who watch the Tiger Band’s march down Victory Hill prior to the game and enter through the west gates of the stadium are reminded that Gates 1-3 often have shorter lines than Gates 4-6 because fans often try to enter the first gate they see. Fans are encouraged to seek out the shortest lines among Gates 1-6 on the west side to expedite entry for everyone.
As Election Day nears, fans are reminded that political material that implies endorsement of any political candidate or any political issue may not be distributed without prior approval by LSU’s Office of Finance and Administrative Services. Signage affixed to vehicles is permitted, but stand-alone signage is not permitted. The University seeks to balance First Amendment rights with its obligation to eliminate or reduce activities that significantly detract from fans’ enjoyment of the event. LSU will not allow itself to be perceived as endorsing a political candidate or issue.
Solicitations of any kind within LSU facilities or on LSU premises are prohibited unless specifically approved by LSU’s Office of Finance and Administrative Services. The distribution of flyers or leaflets on parked vehicles is expressly prohibited.
Fans that need help in the stadium can text “LSU” followed by the issue and their location to 69050. “If you see something, say something.”
