Jeremy Hill rejoins LSU football team
BATON ROUGE, LA — Jeremy Hill is back on the LSU football team after a four month suspension. The Tiger team voted to allow the sophomore running back to rejoin the squad Monday. Hill practiced with the freshman and selected veterans in the afternoon practice.
LSU head coach Les Miles said Hill was "rusty as heck." The afternoon practice was closed to the media.
Earlier Monday, a judge decided not to revoke Hill's probation. Hill avoided potential jail time with that ruling. He remains on probation and his curfew (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.) is still in order. The judge did give Hill additional community service hours and denied a request to have the charge expunged from his record.
Hill is expected to be practice again Tuesday where the media will get their first glimpse of Hill in action since the spring.
Hill made a public apology Monday for his off the field actions which he plead guilty to. In a brief statement, Hill said he was sorry for his actions and that he learned from his mistake.
LSU will practice around 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Stay with NBC33 News and follow me on twitter (@MattBoudreaux) for updates throughout the day.
