BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — For the first time all season the LSU baseball team didn’t have a game during the week. The reason, final exams.
There’s a reason that the word student comes before athlete when referring to the Tiger baseball players as student athletes. This week they found out why. On the brink of clinching the SEC West the team spent more time in the books than on the diamond.
“It's like the ninth inning of the semester and there are two outs and it's time to get the job done in school,” LSU head baseball coach Paul Mainieri said.
