Alex Bregman hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning and starting pitcher Jared Poche' had a run-rule-shortened complete-game victory, 11-1 in seven innings, over Vanderbilt on Wednesday morning at the SEC Baseball Tournament.

Prior to the championship game of the league's tournament, a 10-run rule is in effect after seven innings.

Bregman's sixth homer of the season put LSU (41-14-1) ahead 5-1, while Poche' (9-3) scattered five hits and a walk to earn the victory. Bregman finished 3-for-4 at the plate with five RBI, while second baseman Conner Hale and rightfielder Mark Laird were each 3-for-4. Laird scored four runs, and both Hale and Bregman scored twice.

Vanderbilt starter Jared Miller (6-2) took the loss after giving up four runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

LSU won its fifth-straight game, outscoring its opponents 67-5.

The Tigers will face theNo. 7-seeded Arkansas Razorbacks at 4:30 p.m. CT on Thursday. The game will be broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network beginning with the pregame broadcast at 4 p.m., and it will be televised by CSS and simulcast on CST and ESPN3.com.
