Louisiana Superdome sells naming rights

New Orleans, La (NBC33) — The home of the New Orleans Saints has a new name.
The Louisiana Superdome, which is the site Super Bowl in 2013 is now the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
It's the first time the Crescent City landmark has been called anything different.
Whether Saints fans like it or not, the German automaker has signed on to a 10-year deal.
NBC33 doesn't know how much the company paid for the naming rights, and Governor Jindal says the automaker has asked to keep that price-tag a secret.
Jindal does say the move means less of the public’s tax dollars spent on supporting the pro-football team.
