Tigers fall to No. 1 Kentucky 60-51, hope for NIT invite
NEW ORLEANS, LA (NBC33) — The LSU Tiger basketball team went blow for blow for most of Friday's quarterfinal game in the SEC tournament with top-ranked Kentucky. The Tigers lead 35-30 in the second half but went cold on the offensive end. Kentucky took advantage and scored nine points in that time. The Wildcats went on to defeat LSU, 60-51, knocking them out of the tournament. Now, LSU must wait until Sunday to see if they get invited to the NIT tournament, a place where the Tigers say they belong.
