BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Southern University’s head football coach Stump Mitchell won't be going to the St. Louis Rams.

According to reports, Mitchell was removed from consideration when it comes to the assistant coaching job.

No word on if Mitchell turned down an offer, or he was taken out of the running by the rams.

The spring game for the Jags is set for March 17.
