Miles, Mathieu grab SEC honors from Associated Press

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — LSU head coach Les Miles and cornerback Tyrann Mathieu were honored by the Associated Press Monday. Miles was named SEC Coach of the year by the AP while Mathieu was tabbed SEC Defensive Player of the year.
Miles lead the Tigers to a perfect regular season and an SEC championship in his seventh year at the helm. Mathieu, a sophomore, is the first LSU player since Glen Dorsey to win the top defensive player award.
