As you can imagine, there were many questions that needed answers as Les Miles took the podium for the first time since the 21-0 BCS loss to Alabama, perhaps none more pressing than why senior Jarrett Lee didn’t get a chance to play in the game.

"We gave Jarrett a lot of thought. If I could go back, I would have made the first play call different, the 15th play call different, and so forth," said Miles.

Also, what about the popular rumor that there was an off-the-field incident before the game that divided the team before kickoff. Did that happen?

“I have to be very honest with you, there was no player-coach interaction that was negative in any way, before or after the game.”

What about the recent recruits who have decided against LSU and will head elsewhere for their college experience?

“If it comes down to being close to family, then I understand and maybe we need to find players that will be comfortable here in Louisiana."

So should LSU fans be happy with the 2011 season?

“Most coaches would be happy with 13-1 and a conference championship, but I am not. We wanted to win that last game.”

And while the weather outside (Tuesday really looked it), is the sky really falling when looking at the LSU football program?

Miles responded, “To come in here and play for championships, and get your degree here at LSU, that endeavor has never changed."

When Coach Miles did get the chance to speak about the 2012 team, he says he'll have the same caliber team, but they should throw the ball more with Zach Mettenberger expected to be quarterback. Only time will tell if that's the case.
