The New Orleans Hornets will host their annual Top Hats and High Tops fundraising gala presented by 7 Up, Chevron, Cox, Entergy and Ochsner on Saturday, April 14 at 6 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency (601 Loyola Avenue, New Orleans, La.). The evening will feature entertainment by Big Sam’s Funky Nation, live and silent auctions and the opportunity to enjoy a seated formal dinner with the entire Hornets team and coaching staff.

“We are so thankful to be in a position to use our resources and blessings to benefit our neighbors in need throughout the entire state of Louisiana and Gulf Coast region,” said Hornets President Hugh Weber. “Our Top Hats and High Tops gala is a great way for our fans and supporters to spend an elegant night with our entire team, and know that every dollar raised will stay within this community to make a difference in thousands of lives.”

All proceeds raised during the evening will support the Hornets’ community efforts including rebuilding playgrounds, encouraging exercise and healthy lifestyle changes to young people and providing students with educational resources to be successful in and out of the classroom.

“Gold” table packages are available for $4,000 and include seating for eight guests and a Hornets player or coach, premium table location, recognition on Hornets.com and in the event program and a special gift from the Hornets.

“Purple” table packages are $2,500 and include a premium table location with seating for 10 guests, recognition on Hornets.com and in the event program, and a special gift from the Hornets.

Individual gala tickets can also be purchased for $200 each and all guests are encouraged to sport black tie attire with high tops. The event will also feature the presentation of three Community Assist Grants which award three local nonprofit organizations with $35,000 in grants for their work in the community.

Reservations for the Hornets Top Hats and High Tops Gala can be made by calling 504.593.4992.
