Baton Rouge, La — Members of the football team welcomed 52 children with the local Big Buddy Program to campus last weekend.
While the football players completed their scrimmage, the LSU Ambassadors assisted by providing campus tours to the children, including a visit to Mike the Tiger's cage and Tiger Stadium.
After the scrimmage, football players met the children at the indoor football practice facility, where they were able to practice football drills with the players and tour the building.
The seven players who took part in the event are: Chase Clement, Josh Downs, Josh Dworaczyk, Lavar Edwards, Chris Faulk, Dennis Johnson and Barkevious Mingo.
Dworacyzk enjoyed interacting with the children from the Big Buddy Program.
"This is a great way to give back to the Baton Rouge community," Dworaczyk said. "We want the kids in this program to know that we care about them. It makes it worthwhile for me when I see the kids smiling and having a good time."
