On NBC's "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" tonight, Wednesday, March 14, Saints quaterback Drew Brees will appear where he will be asked about the recent issues concerning his contract situation, and the Saints bounty scandal allegations.

Brees has been touring the country on a promotional tour for a national sporting goods chain.  He has hinted in some of his apperances that he does not intend to play under the franchise tag that the team issued to him earlier this month. Brees was given the tag when the team and the quaterback could not agree to terms to a multi-year deal.

Drew Brees is set to make $14.4 million for the upcoming season under the franchise tag. Brees was also tagged by the San Diego Chargers in 2005.

In reference to the bounty scandal allegations, Brees has said he was unaware of a program that rewarded defensive players for knocking memebers of the opposing team out of the game.

The Tonight Show will air at 10:35 p.m. after NBC33 News.
